I cradle half written dreams under my tongue

My voice reeks of failure

My breath sounds like the millions of people screaming out to the sky as the flood drowned them for their sins

Saying things like

Please take me and not my children

And

Don’t let God’s steal your compassion

I have an obsession with

Religions

Everything I wanted for everyone but me

A father and mother that never raised me

Books

Things that have worlds of their own

Things lucky enough to exist purely in verb

Or in verse

Prose who professionalize in the creation of interpretation

I swear our minds bleed the sky
