If we have well-adjusted happy people

Then we don't have to be accustomed to sadness

If we have well-framed ensemble

Then we don't have to be afraid of the unknown. …

Too much anger and seething hate. To escape all I do, I write,  I create. Too much sorrow and writhing pain. To run away is all I want, I am going insane.   - By U.L Raza

Finally Me

When I look back on myself all I think about is how I used to be. But, now we all recognize that we didn't have a clue who we were. Like me relying on my "hardcore " vamp / avril lavigne obsession. Now I think back and laugh and think thank God I'm finally me.

Winter Time

  • The fat snow flakes flutter to the ground
  • As we drive home on this winter day
  • The snow accumulates in bounds
  • the wind causes the bare trees to sway

  • The hot coco warms your hand
  • as the packy snow covers the land
  • you begin with small hot sips
  • so you are down to little drips

  • you finish your delicious drink
  • but are soon greeted wiith a fabulous apple pie
  • with it…

why should a poem have a title

the day shines bright with hope and faith, but then comes nah the question is asked, the response is nothing, dark, dead, lifeless you stand around looking, searching, for what once is lost can now not be found, more questions are asked, you smile with your lips but not your heart, you close your eye's imagine this was a dream, you wake up, with a rope in one hand and a letter in the other, you stand hanging, still pretending it was a dream

Cast Iron

In the depths of my mind I try and try to find more of reason to control my outbursts and the screams. My heart is tangled by the lies and truths I work so hard to convince myself of. Truths like I’m in love with a girl who I shouldn’t be in love with. Lies like i don’t give a fuck that u left me. Truths like i miss you everyday. Lies like your words don’t matter. Truths like I’m just fucking tired. Like heartbeats don’t matter and new smiles are so long away. Like your breath on my neck is…

I have something to say.

Now, if i was to pour out my heart in a manner that was more suitable for your ears than maybe relations between us would be more compatable. Unfortunately, I refuse to succumb to your fragility. I will not compensate or appeal to the fickle emotions that you continuosly display. My speech will reflect only true maters of my heart, and nothing less.

I recently watched a movie called To save a life. It's impact on me was very heavy. It's about a boy dealing with his friends' suicide, and finding out why God is doing this to him. All along a youth minister is helping him along his journey and overall, trying to point him in the right direction. So, if you feel lonely, and unloved, please know someone out there cares about you. I care about you. As a child of God, I am…

Invasion of the Significant

I just saw Billy Collins and Kay Ryan do a poetry reading at UCLA-- each was a poet laureate - they were fantastic. Billy said that when he writes he feels an invasion of the significant.  Great food for thought when writing poetry. Ignore the dross and superfluous thoughts and cut to the essence of the matter.

Te deceo como el viento (Mexico)

Te deceo como el viento,

que respiro,

como tus manos,

calidas que tocan mi espalda.

Te deceo como la luz

que ilumina mi vida,

como tus ojos,

cuando me ven y me dan miedo.

Te deceo lo mejor del mundo,

y yo deceo tenerte como.

una estrella que ilumine mi camino.

asi poder crear un mundo nuevo.

Para transformar acada uno,

y asi, romper la

privacion que te ata.

Deceo que durante los…
